Types of Barium Procedures:

1. Barium Swallow (Esophagography):

2. Barium Meal (Upper GI Series):

3. Barium Enema (Lower GI Series):

Common IV Contrast Studies:

1. CT Angiography:
   Purpose: Visualizes blood vessels to detect aneurysms, blockages, or malformations.
   
   Procedure: Contrast is injected intravenously, and CT images are obtained to assess vascular structures.
   
2. Contrast-Enhanced CT Scans:
   Purpose: Improves the differentiation of tissues and identification of abnormalities in organs.
   
   Procedure: IV contrast is administered, followed by CT imaging of the targeted area.
